No more “I said it first!”
In a quiz with friends, the argument always comes at the same moment: two people shout the answer at the same time. With the Buzzloo buzzer, each phone sends its buzz to the server, and the time it reaches the server sets the order. The host’s screen shows the first player big, then the next ones with their gap to a hundredth of a second.
At a party: the TV on one side, the phones on the other
The host opens a room on the TV, a computer or a tablet. A QR code and a 4-character code appear: everyone scans, types a name, picks a color and a sound (a beep, a honk, a ding, a boing and more), and their phone becomes one big button. Up to 30 players per room.
When the host opens the buzzers, the first to press gets to answer. A player who’s too eager and buzzes before the buzzers open sees “Too soon!” and is locked out for a second. Wrong answer? That player can’t buzz again on this question, and the turn passes to the next one in buzz order. On a computer, three keys are enough: Space opens the buzzers, J marks a right answer and F a wrong one.
Remotely: a quiz that lasts a week
Friends spread across the country? Create a game lasting 1 day, 3 days or 1 week and send the link to your WhatsApp or Snapchat group. Everyone asks a question in turn, written by them or picked at random. The others open the link whenever they like, tap BUZZ and have 20 seconds to answer. If nobody gets it, it was a trick question: the person who asked it wins the point. At the end, share the podium with the group.
Ready-made questions
Out of ideas? Dip into our true-or-false quiz questions: 8 themes of 30 questions, from general knowledge to questions for kids, each with the answer and a short explanation. At a party, the host can pull one at random on the screen, then reveal the answer.
Before you start
Card games before the quiz? The score counter adds up rummy, Uno or Yacht dice and shows the scores on every phone. To play in teams, make random teams and give each team one phone. To decide who hosts each round, pick a random order. The full step-by-step, with the TV display and sound, is in our guide to turning your phone into a quiz buzzer, and the running order of a great evening is in our guide to hosting a quiz night.
Nothing to install, no account, no email address: a first name is enough. A room is deleted 24 hours after its last activity, a remote game 30 days after it ends.
