A wheel, for a draw with a little suspense
A name that pops up instantly gets the job done. A wheel that spins, slows down and hesitates between two slices is a moment of suspense that everyone watches. That’s why teachers love it for calling on a student, and why families use it to settle dessert or the Friday movie night pick.
One slice per line, up to a hundred slices
Every line you write becomes a slice of the wheel, all the same size, so every slice has exactly the same chance. Want an idea to come up more often? Write it twice and it gets two slices. The colors alternate on their own, and the text on each slice stays readable up to about forty slices.
The result is drawn before the wheel turns
Spinning the wheel isn’t a game of skill: the moment you press the button, the site picks the winning slice with the browser’s secure random generator, then spins the wheel so it stops right there. Pressing fast, slowly or twice in a row changes nothing. If your phone is set to reduce motion, the wheel goes straight to the winning slice.
Remove the winning slice
To give everyone exactly one turn (at the board, for a dare, to pick the game), tick the option that offers to remove the winning slice. After each spin, a button takes it off the wheel, and the next spin is between the slices that are left.
Send your wheel by link
Once your wheel is ready, you can hand it over as it is: "Send my wheel" makes a link to share on WhatsApp, by text or anywhere you can paste it. Whoever opens it sees your wheel, its title and your first name, and spins it on their own phone. They can also change the slices and send their version back. The slices travel inside the link itself: nothing is saved on our server, and nobody signs up for anything.
Wheels that are already filled in
Don’t feel like typing it all? Grab a ready-made wheel and change whatever you like:
- the what to eat wheel, when nobody can decide on dinner;
- the yes or no wheel, to settle a small decision;
- the dare wheel and truth or dare, for parties and game nights;
- the number wheel and the letter wheel, for games and the classroom;
- the chore wheel and the Christmas wheel, at home.
And to call on students at random, just type your class list, one name per line.
