How to play with these questions
- Pick a topic that suits your crowd (see below), or mix several.
- Read the statement once, in a flat voice: stressing one word often gives the answer away.
- Give everyone a few seconds to think, then collect answers: hands up, thumbs up or down, or the buzzer.
- Open the answer and read the explanation out loud: that’s usually when the table reacts most.
- Give one point per right answer. Without a buzzer, the score sheet keeps everyone’s points up to date on every phone.
Which topic for which crowd?
- With kids aged 6 to 11: the “For kids” topic, with answers explained in simple words; Animals works for the whole family too.
- For a mixed group: General knowledge, Food & cooking and Geography are easy for everyone to follow.
- For players who love a trap: Science and History, full of popular myths, and Sports, for the fans and for those who think they are.
With the buzzer, at a party
On the host’s screen, the quiz buzzer draws a random question from the chosen topic or from all of them, and won’t repeat a question already drawn in that room until the pool runs out. The first player to buzz answers: a right answer earns one point, a wrong one passes the turn to whoever buzzed next.
What this page doesn’t do
It doesn’t keep score: the buzzer and the score sheet handle that. The questions don’t change from one visit to the next: they’re the same 240 statements, each with its answer explained. To keep things fresh, write your own with How to write good quiz questions.
